Charnwood UDH001 Universal Dust Hood Holder For Lathes

The Universal Dust Hood Bracket will fit onto all lathes with a cast iron bed. The design allows the hood to be positioned exactly where it is required by adjusting it in 3 dimensions. It can be used to collect dust and shaving when both spindle turning or bowl turning. Made out of all metal components it is built to last.

The bracket clamps to the bed of any lathe, and is secured with a ratchet locking handle. Initially it can be positioned anywhere along the bed, and can then be slid up and down the lathe bed as you move the tool rest. A pivoting arm then sets the location of the hood behind the lathe spindle, to accommodate different sized hoods.

A further 3 arms then give adjustment in the X, Y & Z axis, each locks with a ratchet handle for fast adjustments.

Any dust hood with a 100mm (4″) diameter outlet can then be fitted into the holder and secured in place with the clamp.

Suitable to be used on all Charnwood lathes.

You can make your own hood to suit your needs or use one of our Dust Hoods with a 100mm diameter outlet.

This is the holding bracket only. It is also available as a package with the small dust hood DH250, product code UDH002. Or with the extra large dust hood DH410, Product code UDH003.

Please Note: Only Suitable for lathes with a cast iron bed. Not suitable for lathes with round bars or fabricated steel beds.
