The DK range is high quality, but reasonably priced and made from SK5 high carbon tool steel. The NK range is the ultimate quality made from the very durable white paper tool steel. White steel (Shirogami Nomi in Japanese) is a very pure form of steel which is used to make tools that are easier to sharpen to an excellent edge. A natural stone will give a terrific edge on these chisels.
