The Universal Dust Hood will fit onto all lathes with a cast iron bed. The design allows the hood to be positioned exactly where it is required by adjusting it in 3 dimensions. It can be used to collect dust and shavings when both spindle turning or bowl turning. Made out of all metal components it is built to last.
The bracket clamps to the bed of any lathe, and is secured with a ratchet locking handle. Initially it can be positioned anywhere along the bed, and can then be slid up and down the lathe bed as you move the tool rest. A pivoting arm then sets the location of the hood behind the lathe spindle.
A further 3 arms then give adjustment in the X, Y & Z axis, each locks with a ratchet handle for fast adjustments.
The dust hood has a 100mm (4″) diameter outlet which fits into the holder and is secured in place with a clamp.
Suitable to be used on all Charnwood lathes.
Ideal for use when sanding pens, table legs and everything in between!
