Fitting neatly into the gap between the heaviest router table and an industrial sized spindle moulder this machine is ideally suited to small professional workshops.

A precision ground cast iron table forms the work surface for this spindle moulder. The spindle itself is 30mm diameter and has a set of spindle washers to allow a cutter block to be installed at any position on the spindle. The spindle height is adjusted by rotating a large hand wheel on the side of the cabinet. when the spindle is at the required height it can be locked in place. A rotation lock can also be engaged to hold the spindle stationary to change the tooling.
The maximum diameter of tooling is 160mm. Insert rings are provided to reduce the table aperture to 110mm or 70mm when working with smaller diameter tooling.
The cutter hood body is made from cast iron with a 100mm diameter chip collection outlet at the centre, providing efficient extraction for this machine which can produce a high volume of dust and chips. An extractor with 1000 cubic metres per hour airflow is recommended to cope.
A pair of locking handles secure the cutter hood in place and by using a series of fixing points, the fence can be moved through a range of 300mm relative to the front of the table.
Two aluminium guide fences are adjustable to set the gap between them, to suit the tooling being used. The outfeed fence can also be stepped out, controlled by a fine pitch thread adjuster, for operations where the complete edge of the workpiece is being removed.
The cutter guard assembly is hinged, so that it can quickly be swung away to access the cutter block. When in its operating position there is a fully adjustable hold down clamp and a front clamp to secure the work piece against the cutter.
A hinged door on the front of the machine provides easy access to the inside. It is fitted with a microswitch to prevent the motor starting when the door is open. A simple belt pulley change selects the correct spindle speed for the task at hand. There are 4 speeds:
The main spindle is removable and can be replaced by a routing collet. With the drive belt set to high speed, router cutters of 1/2″ diameter shank can be used. A particularly useful benefit for anyone who has previously been using a router table and already owns a selection of cutters.
Edge moulding operations can be run across the front of the main table when working with narrow materials or, by reversing the cutter hood, they can be run across the back of the table giving a larger work surface.
When it comes to crosscutting or working with panels, the sliding table is fitted onto the front of the machine. The sliding carriage consists of a cast iron table with four bearing guides running along an aluminium extrusion. The fence angle can be set accurately between 90 and 45 degrees with a useful stop to quickly return to 90 degrees again. A hold down clamp and a flip over length stop complete the equipment. When returning to edge moulding, it takes only seconds to remove the sliding table.
Attached to the side of the cabinet is a large storage tray, perfect for keeping accessories and spare tooling within reach.
Supplied with sliding table, set of spindle washers, 2 table inserts, 1/2″ diameter routing collet, adjustable height rubber feet, 1.9m power cable and UK 3 pin plug.
Runs off any standard 13amp, 240v electric supply.
