W815 Mini Lathe: A high quality mini woodworking lathe ideal for the production of smaller pieces or where the workshop size does not allow for a longer bed. Recommended for Pen Turning.

The bed, headstock and tailstock are all constructed from cast iron to give vibration free running but the compact size means the weight is still manageable and the lathe can be removed from the bench when not in use. There are mounting holes in the base to allow fixing down to a bench or base board.

Electronic variable speed control allows the ideal speed to be quickly selected for jobs of any diameter. A simple turn of a dial smoothly increases or decreases the RPM.

The headstock has a thread size of 1″ diameter with a pitch of 8 turns per inch. Optional accessories such as our W810 scroll chuck will fit straight on.

The tailstock has a cam-lock lever to quickly set the position along the bed. A large chromed hand wheel is then used to wind the tailstock quill out to until the centre contacts the work piece.

The cam lock banjo slides easily along the bed and has a large chrome lever to lock it into position, making it very easy to use. The round bar tool rest is height adjustable to suit the type of tool being used. The standard tool rest cross bar is 150mm long – other lengths are available, see the related products below.

We also include a handy storage rack to keep centres, faceplates and service tools in one place and ready to go.

Supplied with four prong drive centre, revolving tail centre, 150mm (6″) tool rest cross bar with 12mm diameter stem, 75mm (3″) diameter faceplate, 1.9m power cable and UK 3 pin plug.

W810 3 Jaw Scroll Chuck: A light weight mini lathe chuck ideal for W815.

Fitted with 3 stepped jaws to give a powerful grip on smaller work pieces. The jaws are adjusted using two levers, which are supplied as standard.

The jaws on this chuck are reversible to further expand the range of pieces it can hold. When the jaws are reversed the steps are on the inside.

Jaws expand from 10mm to 66mm and contract from 30mm to 3mm.
