Dome Buff for polishing the insides of bowls and boxes.
In stock
Dome Buffs are available in 3 different diameters and 3 different material types, each for a slightly different function.
Manufactured using the best quality cotton, dome buffs are unstitched for maximum flexibility in use.
They are used for polishing the insides of bowls and boxes, which can be carried out with them installed on a lathe or on a pillar drill.
The Dome Buffs are supplied ready for use, with a short threaded stud which screws into the Large or Small Mandrel. Fit the Small Mandrel for use in a Jacobs chuck on a pillar drill or the Large Mandrel for use on a lathe chuck.
Due to the smaller diameter of these dome buffs they will require more time and sometimes more speed on the lathe to be able to match the finish given by the larger wheels.
Dome Buff A is used with Compound 1 to cut back the applied finish and remove any minor blemishes left behind by sanding.
Dome Buff B is used with Compound 2 to cleanse the piece and also to prepare for the final polish coat by giving an exceptionally smooth surface.
Dome Buff C is used with either the Carnauba Wax Stick, Microcrystalline Wax or Microcrystalline Wax Stick to give a wonderful, long lasting shine.
