The newly upgraded taper gouge stones from Suehiro of Japan now feature Dual-Stone technology, this means that they can be used either as a traditional Waterstone or a western style oil stone.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE OIL HAS BEEN APPLIED THE STONE CANNOT REVERT BACK TO BE USED WITH WATER.
Manufactured from aluminium oxide the stone is 152mm in length with a convex side and a concave opposing side, this makes them highly suited to the sharpening of incannel or outcannel gouges and crook knives.
Overall length is 152mm with a taper width from 57mm down to 20mm and a tapering depth from 30mm down to 14mm.
Each stone is also now supplied with a rubberised conditioning block for cleaning and de-glazing.
