An inexpensive introduction to off-centre or eccentric turning.
The body of the wobble chuck has a dovetail fitting on the end. The Wobble Chuck can be held by the standard jaws fitted to Charnwood Lathe chucks:
Viper2, Viper3 & Nexus3.
And in any chuck which has dovetails jaws with a 50mm (2″) Capacity.
The work piece can mounted by a single 30mm long wood screw – the same as any screw chuck. Alternatively it can be mounted using three screws (not included) – similar to a face plate.
The desired amount of offset is then dialed in by rotating the upper section of the Wobble Chuck.
Ideal for goblets with off-set stems. A great opportunity to experiment with novel projects.
