The Pen Mandrel Support is a revolving tail centre which converts a traditional pen mandrel into a compression type, removing the need to tighten the screw and lock the pen parts in place.
Instead, the mandrel passes through the hollow centre of the mandrel support and the pen parts are clamped by winding in the tailstock quill.

This product has 2 sealed bearings, a 12mm nose to represent 12mm bushings, is offered in 1MT & 2MT, precisely machined and designed to last and satisfy the professional. The product has a hole through the centre to accept the mandrel shaft enabling fixed mandrels to become adjustable.
The product is inserted into the tailtock end of the lathe and using the handle of the tailstock, the user can therefore clamp all the pen parts together.
