Hollow Ring Centre with No.2 Morse Taper
Used for long hole boring on a wood lathe. The centre is hollow through the middle and allows a drill bit, with a diameter of 5/16″, to be passed through it.
The tip of the centre is 5/8″ diameter with a sharp ring to engage the work piece.
The hollow centre is actually supplied with a centre pin, so it can be used like a regular centre for spindle turning too. On occasions when May also be used as a tail centre when there is risk of splitting.
Can be used in conjunction with Planet LSLC516 Drill Bit to bore holes up to 18″ deep, depending on the lathe.
