This sliding crosscut mitre fence uses a steel bar 19mm wide, making it compatible with many woodworking machines, particularly those originating in North America.
It can be used with a plain table slot or a T-slot where the wider part is 25mm (1″). A 25mm guide button prevents lifting when it is used with a T-slot, which can be removed when using a plain slot.
Along the side of the bar are three ball bearings which can be adjusted to remove any play between the bar and the slot. They are adjusted by grub screws so that the bar will always give a smooth feel and an accurate angle.
It has an incredible 180 degree rotation with preset stops at the most commonly used angles of 0, 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 67.5 and 90 degrees each way. The quadrant is made from 5mm thick aluminium. when adjusting the angle of the fence, a spring loaded plunger automatically locks into the preset angles. The plunger can be locked out so that any other angle within the 180 degree range can be set.
