A trade rated panel saw capable of handling 8 x 4 panels.
In stock
A trade rated panel saw capable of handling large panels including full size 8′ x 4′ sheets.
The rip fence glides along a solid steel bar and goes out to 36″. For fine tuning there is a micro adjustment feature. The fence itself can be used in two positions: high or low. For general working the higher fence face is used, but for cutting very narrow strips the fence is rotated to the low position to give clearance right up to the side of the blade.
A 3hp braked induction motor supplies the power, turning the 12″ diameter blade via a drive belt. It allows for a cutting depth of up to 100mm (4″) depth. Blade height is adjusted using the front hand wheel, from 0 to 100mm. The crown guard has a dust extraction outlet and a hose to carry the dust to the combined collection point at the back of the saw. The 100mm diameter outlet also collects from underneath the saw blade.
The side hand wheel is used to adjust the blade angle, from 90 to 45 degrees, with a lock to prevent it creeping. The angle can be read off a large scale on the front of the cabinet.
The construction of the saw is made to handle the daily needs of professional users. The internal mechanism is mounted to the one-piece welded cabinet. The motor mount and trunions are of heavy duty cast iron construction. A rear support leg, also cast iron, gives additional stability to allow full sized sheets to be worked with.
On the left hand side of the saw is the sliding carriage with a 48″ stroke. The whole beam runs effortlessly along its track on a set of bearings. At the front of the carriage a crosscut mitre guide can be fitted for crosscutting smaller pieces and solid timber. The fence is adjustable 60 degrees each way and has a vertical clamp to hold down the work piece. It can quickly be removed for panel work.
A telescopic arm supports the the outrigger table, to allow heavier panels to be loaded without deflection. The back fence is rail 1200mm long and has a pull out extension to allow measuring up to 2100mm. There is a flip over sliding production stop with a metric measuring scale. The back fence can be set and locked at any angle between 90 and 45 degrees.
The entire carriage can be locked in place when not in use.
Supplied with emergency stop button, 24 tooth TCT sawblade, sliding beam, rear extension table, right hand extension table, dust extraction outlet 100mm diameter, 2.0m power cable and 16 amp industrial plug.
It is highly recommended that a dust extractor is used at all times with this saw to prevent the harmful build up of dust and chips. We recommend our model W691 which also has an induction motor to keep the noise level low.
Please note: It is not possible to use a stacked dado set with this saw.
