Charnwood PRO Series free launch event at Yandles!
Join us Saturday the 23rd of May for Yandles official launch of the new Charnwood PRO Series of machinery! We will have all PRO Series on display in the Toolshop, as well as Charlie from Charnwood to offer expert advice on each machine. This event runs 10am- 4pm, it is completely free to attend with no booking necessary. There is also plenty of free parking in our newly upgraded Yandles car park!
What is included in the Charnwood PRO Series?
1421VF Variable Speed Lathe
Powered by a smooth 1100W induction motor with VFD‑controlled variable speed up to 3550rpm which delivers high torque at low speeds. Forward and reverse running a digital speed display and 24‑position spindle indexing provide excellent control and accuracy. Heavy cast iron construction ensures stability while an 18″ spindle capacity 14″ bowl capacity and optional outboard turning make it a highly versatile machine for serious woodturners.
PT16S 16″ x 9″ Planer Thicknesser with Carbide Cutters
This trade‑rated planer thicknesser features a low‑noise spiral cutter block fitted with 72 tungsten carbide cutters for an excellent surface finish. Heavy cast iron tables and a powerful 4hp motor deliver stable accurate performance with up to 16″ planing and 16″ x 9″ thicknessing capacity. Fast front‑mounted locking handles a parallel table lift and powered feed rollers ensure quick setup consistent results and reliable thickness accuracy shown on a mechanical digital display.
DS22VFP Variable Speed Drum Sander 22″
This machine offers an impressive 22″ sanding capacity in a single pass making it ideal for larger workpieces. A heavy duty rubber conveyor belt with variable speed control works alongside a variable speed sanding drum to deliver smooth consistent results. Accurate height setting is easy with the mechanical digital display and the included cabinet base adds stability while optional brush heads increase versatility.

This versatile belt sander can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions with an oscillating sanding belt for a scratch‑free finish and extended belt life.
