B250 10” Woodworking Bandsaw 6″ Cutting Depth – 375w 

A compact floor standing woodworking bandsaw with a massive cutting capacity, for a machine of this size and price, of 150mm (6″). The big capacity makes it an ideal choice for woodworkers who are short on space. The power is delivered by a quiet induction motor with a belt drive to the bandsaw wheel.

The key to straight and accurate cutting on a bandsaw is to have a good set of blade guides. The B250 has three sealed bearings on the blade guard. Two mounted side-on to the blade to control blade twist and keep it true. The rear bearing takes the thrust of the back of the blade allowing it to run freely. The same setup is then repeated beneath the table.

The cast iron table tilts from 90 degrees to 45 degrees and has a positive stop at both of those positions. Any angle in between can be read off the scale and locked in. For rip cuts the guide fence can be situated on either side of the blade, can be locked into position with a single press of the lever and has a clear marker to set against the metric scale. The fence itself can be fitted in two ways. When cutting thicker material the full face height of 60mm is used. When cutting thin and narrow strips the fence is fitted with the small face, against the blade to allow clearance around the guides.

For crosscutting there is a sliding mitre guide included which can be locked at any angle through a range of 120 degrees. There are positive stops at 90 and 45 each way for those most commonly used angles.

The two doors are fitted with safety locks which cut power to the motor when the doors are open for blade changing or cleaning.

A useful addition, especially for woodturners, is the addition of a circle cutting attachment. A sharp pointer can be lowered into the centre point of the circle and the diameter set on the support arm. Using this guide you can cut circles of any diameter up to 600mm.

A dust extractor is always recommended when using a bandsaw. The dust collection outlet has 3 rings which allow it to accept 3 sizes of hose, 50mm, 75mm & 100mm diameter making it compatible with any type of extraction system. If extraction is not being used however, the bandsaw is fitted with an integral dust collection draw. Dust falling into the base of the machine will be collected here, allowing it to be quickly and easily emptied.

Supplied with 3/8” x 6tpi blade, rip fence, mitre fence, work light, floor stand, circle cutting attachment, 1.8m power cable and UK 3 pin plug.

This Bandsaw is fitted with a High Quality, British manufactured blade with precision ground teeth for incredible cutting results.

The primary use of this bandsaw is for woodworking and the blade supplied is suitable for cutting both hard and soft woods. The blade supplied can also cut Non-ferrous metals, Plastic and Acrylic. It is possible to use this bandsaw for cutting other materials, but only with a suitable blade fitted.

High filtration vacuum extractor with auto start function. A great time saving feature, perfect for using with tools which make frequent small cuts, such as a mitre saw or bandsaw.

This fine filter vacuum extractor is ideal for small workshops using bench top machinery and power tools. Because this extractor generates a high speed of air through the hose it is more suitable for reducing down to a smaller diameter hose for use with portable power tools.

At the heart of the extractor is a 2 stage filter which cleans particles out of the air down to 0.5 micron. Fine enough for every machine in the workshop including sanders. The compact size and light weight, makes it particularly appealing for smaller workshops, where space is a premium, and it can be kept underneath a bench. A quick action clamp releases the lid of the drum to empty it out.

These extractors are a great alternative to a standard household vacuum because they do not get blocked and have a larger capacity, so need emptying less often.

The extractor can be run as normal in manual mode, with a simple on/off switch.

To operate with auto start function, simply plug your power tool into the integral 3 pin plug socket and set the switch to Auto. Now, the extractor will start whenever the power tool starts and will continue to run for a few seconds after the power tool is stopped to clear any remaining dust and chips from the hose.

Supplied with 2m length of 100mm internal diameter hose, 2 hose clamps, 3 replacement filter bags, 2m cable and plug.
